Welcome to ACoP10

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the ACoP10 Planning Committee, I cordially invite you to attend the Tenth American Conference on Pharmacometrics (ACoP10), to be held October 20th to 23rd, 2019, at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, FL.

ACoP is the annual scientific meeting of the International Society of Pharmacometrics (ISoP).

The theme of ACoP10 is “Modeling without Borders.” This theme was chosen to highlight ISoP’s 2019 objectives of “globalization and collaboration” of pharmacometrics groups, methods, tools and its impact on Global Health.

New this year, in accordance with the theme of the conference, is a “Sponsored Investigator Session” to which we are inviting three international speakers from low- and middle-income countries to share their research and research environment with us.

Don’t have a full program proposal but an exciting individual talk? We have more exciting news for you as we are thrilled to introduce our new “Roller Coaster Sessions.” Stay tuned and watch out for the programming call!

Our Scientific Programming Committee, chaired by Nahor Haddish-Berhane, PhD, is already planning for an exceptional series of sessions consistent with our conference theme, and will have the difficult task of selecting from many outstanding proposals submitted by our members, Special Interest Groups, Networks and Committees.

Our pre-conference program on Sunday, October 20th, is entitled “Clinical Pharmacometrics: Bringing Models to Patients” and will be co-chaired by Navin Goyal, PhD and Elizabeth Lakota, PhD.

By popular demand, the Innovative Communication session will be back with a new twist at ACoP10.

As always, the conference will feature many tutorials, student and trainee events, vendor-sponsored workshops, presentations, and posters covering emerging science and innovative methods in pharmacometrics. You don’t want to miss it!

Last year’s extension of conference days received positive feedback as it allowed for additional sessions and more networking time each day. Given the tremendous success, ACoP10 will be extended to run until early evening on Wednesday, October 23rd. To accommodate this change, tutorials will be held on the morning of Thursday, October 24th, with post-conference workshops beginning that afternoon.

We thank the ACoP9 Planning Committee, sponsors, exhibitors, speakers, and attendees for making ACoP9 such a tremendous (and sold out!) success. We would also like to extend our congratulations to the 2018 ISoP Award Winners and ISoP Fellows. These awards are an important way to recognize outstanding contributions by our members to the field of pharmacometrics.
