The Student/Post-doc Committee would like to welcome all students and post-doctoral fellows to join us in taking part in this years meeting! We are excited to announce that this year, we will be hosting over 85 students and post-doctoral fellows from 40 institutions within the US and around the world.
Our objectives are to provide the students and post-doctoral attendees with extensive learning and networking opportunities, and to help optimize the meeting experience. To achieve this, the committee has planned some fun and exciting events tailored specifically for students and post-doctoral fellows. Below you will find detailed descriptions of the planned events. We hope that you will all join us for some PKPD fun under the sun, at ACoP 2011 in San Diego, California!
Small Group Session on Career Advice
Date: Monday, April 4
Time: 12:00 – 1:30 (lunch time, and of course lunch will be provided)
This program is designed as an opportunity for students and post-doctoral fellows, and other junior scientists, to meet with experienced representatives in the field. The mentors will be sharing career advice and their professional experiences with a small group of students and post-doctoral fellows, in an interactive setting. The mentors will be composed of a diverse group knowledgeable representatives in the field of pharmacometrics with different background and experience. Come join us and stay tuned for more details!
Social / Networking Event
Date: Tuesday, April 5
Time: TBA
This is an evening social event, which will give the students and post-docs a chance to socialize and enjoy the fun and exciting downtown San Diego scene together. This is an informal event and non-sponsored social gathering and will entail dancing and festivities. This will tentatively be a dinner event on Tuesday night at a cool restaurant/bar in the infamous gas lamp district in downtown San Diego. More details will follow…
